How to cook safe inside a van and the best cooking equipment for Van cooking

Cooking inside a van can be very dangerous if you do not know how to do it properly.
So if you don’t want to die and you don’t want to blow up your van, you should pay attention to these things:

Stow the gas tank safely

If you use a gas cooker, which is the best and easiest way to cook in a van, you have to make sure that you store the gas well.
Always make sure that the gas bottle is closed when not in use. Because if the gas is spread in the van it can easily ignite and cause damage.
The gas should not be stowed in a place that is too hot. If the van heats up in the summer, it is best to store the gas cylinder outside: Gas Can Holder.
If it gets too hot, the gas expands and the pressure inside the bottle rises, then the gas escapes from the bottle or explodes in the worst case. Cold does not matter to the gas bottle.
Also make sure that there is no heat source near the gas and that the gas cylinder cannot fall over or be damaged.
Below are also linked camping cookers and gas bottle holders with which I have already made good experiences:

Make sure that there is enough oxygen in the vehicle while vanlife cooking

You should always open a window. If water forms on the stove, there is not enough oxygen in the room and you should open the window further. If there is enough oxygen in the room, the butane or propane will burn to carbon dioxide and water vapor, but if there is not enough oxygen, carbon (soot) or carbon monoxide will be formed. This can be fatal, because you don’t notice that not enough oxygen is inhaled, but carbon monoxide.

Therefore it is recommended to install a carbon monoxide meter that warns against this: carbon monoxide detector

Make sure that there is nothing flammable around the cooker

Just make sure that there is nothing around the cooker, which could catch fire. You should always have a fire extinguisher in the van in Case something goes wrong. For example this one: fire extinguisher
